SOCKET GASKETS
FOR ALL TRADITIONAL GLASS BULBS.
DURA-BULBS ALREADY HAVE ADDED BUILT-IN PROTECTION, BUT FOR EXTRA-DEMANDING INSTALLATIONS, GASKETS CAN ENHANCE THIS PROTECTION AS WELL AS PROTECTING THE LIGHT STRING SOCKETS WHEN USED AS INSTRUCTED.
While our traditional glass bulbs are sealed, to further protect your lightbulbs when used in exterior installations where the bulbs are exposed to precipitation, we recommend installing them pointed downward (best), or outward (2nd best). Bulb orientation does not apply to our DURA-BULBS.
If your glass bulbs must be oriented in an upright position, where the bulbs are most vulnerable to moisture penetration at their seams, we highly recommend using inexpensive socket gaskets, available below.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Using socket gaskets when bulbs are aimed downwards with any bulb type is both unnecessary and potentially problematic, trapping precipitation in the socket.
Available for both E12 and E17 standard Christmas light sockets.
