ORDER FULFILLMENT DETAILS

We are looking for an order fulfillment solution for our small e-commerce business.
We sell exclusively through tru-tone.com using WooCommerce and have previously been processing our own orders from our home office, but have outgrown that system.
We are currently a seasonal business but are planning for year-round sales to begin this year, expecting to receive shipment at the beginning of July.
To date, our order numbers have been in the lower range January – August, then begin to ramp up in September, peaking in November at around 2000 per month and then tapering off through the new year. We’re hoping for an arrangement that has flexibility based on these needs.

At the core, Tru-Tone is a very design-forward, meticulous business. We’ve put a great deal of care into our order fulfillment to date, and the “unboxing experience” has been recognized as an integral component to our success. We hope to maintain as much of these details and overall care with the packing process as possible.

EXAMPLES OF OUR PRODUCT PACKAGES
The majority of our products arrive pre-packaged in one of two box sizes.
(5 x 5.5 x 2.25 in. 6.25 x 6.75 x 3 in.)
We also have a small 5-pack, and a bundled electrical cord.
OUR CURRENT FULFILLMENT PROCESS
A Woocommerce third-party plugin calculates the packing for each order.
This shipment info is sent to UPS, returning the cost (plus any pre-defined add-on charges) to the checkout, and generates the UPS label/tracking number.
Working in batches of (up to) 10 orders at a time, we bulk print UPS labels direct from the WordPress dashboard.
(We use our own tan-colored label stock.)
We bulk print the corresponding packing slips (labels) also from the WordPress dashboard.
Packing slips are matched by name (or order number) to Shipping labels.
Shipping labels are applied to the correct shipping box size.
(Shipping boxes are pre-assembled in bulk, as needed)
Packing slip labels are applied to the inside top flap of box (or 1st box of order).
This is completed for the full batch.
Each order is then packed with kraft paper packing material, and sealed with our packing tape.

SHIPPING MATERIALS
Most orders are packed into one of three shipping box sizes.
We also have a very small mailer for 5 pack orders, and full-case orders.

UPS IS OUR PRIMARY SERVICE.
